SOBHA Limited was incorporated in Bangalore in 1995 by PNC Menon and is listed on the BSE and NSE. The company is unusual among Indian developers in running a backward integrated model, with in-house divisions for concrete products, glazing and metal works, interiors and joinery, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, so that most of a project is built by its own teams rather than subcontracted. Alongside its own real estate developments it runs a long standing contractual business for corporate clients. Bangalore remains its largest residential market and its projects there span Panathur and Sarjapur Road in the east through Bannerghatta Road and Hosur Road in the south to Hoskote on the Old Madras Road corridor, with the portfolio extending to Kerala, Tamil Nadu, the NCR, Pune, Hyderabad and Gujarat.
